Hi, I'm new to this forum, but I can see there's a vast sea of knowledge out there.
I recently bought a 3020 gas for my son on his acreage. It's a 1964 model. The fuel gauge doesn't work. I bought a gauge and matching sending unit out of a combine. Put them both in yesterday, and can't get the gauge to work. There are two terminals on the gauge, two wires from the harness and 1 wire that is an independent ground wire going to a frame piece, added by a previous owner. I attached what I thought was the hot side of the wiring harness and the independent ground wire. I turned the switch on and it did not work. Then I got my 12V tester out and could not find electricity in either wire from the harness with the key turned on. So I'm stumped.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
