Need some advice on removing the injector pump on my 1520 for service. I have read my shop manual but it seems complicated.
Looking for tips/tricks to the project. Thanks in advance.

Drain the radiator ,remove the lower hose, this will reveal a 2 bolt cover, remove it, remove the injector lines and linkage, remove the timing window and rotate the engine till the scribe marks line up, now back to the 2 bolt cover you removed, pull the spring out remove the nut on the injector shaft ( I use a small Philips head screw driver and stick it in the end of the shaft so as you remove the nut and washer you don't drop it down into the engine, do this when you go back together too), run the nut to be flush with the end of the shaft, and of course have the pump flange bolts out now too,, tap the end of the shaft with a hammer and knock it loose from the tapered gear, and remove the pump,,this is a loose description of how to but it may help..
