Hi all! I'm new to the forum and my first post is going to be question. I bought a John Deere 830 utility (1975) about a year and half ago and I've slowly been making repairs to make it usable. It was pouring hydraulic fluid from
the steering column (power steering) which I have fixed. I have changed the hydraulic oil, filter and sump screen and I'm having issues with the 3pt hitch. The hitch movement is very erratic and the hitch will "bleed" down and
then raise back up to the set position and the cycle repeats. It also seems as if a valve may be sticking when raising or lowering the 3pt. When the arms stop moving there is still a strain on the hydraulic system and then you
can feel it release. Where do I start? dump valve? pressure relief?
