1. I've been playing with a '69 4020 that belongs to my neighbor that has been sitting on my property for several years now. I got it running and made some improvements for him.but never really dove deeply into the tractor as if it was mine.
Now it is.He's moving and can't take it with him. So:
I have several service manuals on this model tractor. Some really good, some should be in the outhouse.
Is there a free PDF down-loadable OPERATORS manual anywhere for this tractor?
2. I've got 99.5% of the tractor working as it should, that being said, the lever that controls the rock shaft pushes on a flexible metal rod to activate the valve that controls the height of the implement. The rod has been oiled but is still harder than I think it should be to move. The rod has shed it's lever locking star washer once already leaving the implement in the down position until I replaced the washer.
Is there a better way to loosen up the rod or should I just keep dribbling oil down the rod's covering?
