could someone please tell me what the L/S and H/S pressure should be (adding 134A)? I bought me some gauges (first time doing this). May blow the whole system up !!! wish me luck , ha

thanks, Bob

Starting from a vacuum ,adding the first couple cans the low pressure will go up to around 50psi then drop back low as the cans empty, the high will continue to increase,, as you put the 5th can in the low pressure will be in the 30-40 psi area depending on the ambient temperature the high side will be in the 190-225 area,,a cooler day it will be lower-- a hotter day a a bit higher,,this is on a system that is in good order,,the High pressure will climb high quickly if there is a restriction in the system, such as a bad expansion valve or clogged Evaporator/condenser...

Try not to burn your arms on the manifold when connecting the hoses. If you are lucky and have small arms you can do it from the right side.

I pull the hood on 4030's,,and of course the wonderful Dubuque design put the AC compressor in a very un-handy place....

Nasty one for sure!!!! Hood got pulled. Now after replacing the expansion valve ( hope that's the problem) ill give this another try!! thank you for the help guys!!
