LA air cleaner

I am trying to clean the air cleaner on an LA. Does the baffle come out for cleaning? The parts book shows a baffle plate and retaining ring I don?t see any must be missing them. Any help is appreciated. thanks Mark

No. Just soak it in a bucket of cleaner.

Those baffles are most likely spot welded in, I took a different one out, it was filthy, but pretty much destroyed it getting it out.

I think they really need a back flush with solvent to clean.

All mine including an LUC have baffles and retaining rings in them. When you take the cup off, look into it the baffle has a round hole in the center and the ring snaps into the cup ridge. If you see the bottom of the cup, your baffle and ring are missing.
