I was hoping you'd comment on my post below about "treasure" found in the sump by the suction screen in a 4020.
Was wondering if spring piece could be from a long-ago parking pawl issue.
Everything is working FINE, don't know if pieces are something to worry about or the remnants of long-repaired issues.
Interesting how the green-painted little washer found it's way in there.
This is the one I posted about earlier that I split for a low PTO pressure issue, which turned out to be a seal ring out of place from the last guy in there.
Load shaft seals were leaking badly as well, they were installed backwards!
ANYHOW, the owner isn't going to pursue any additional exploratory surgery at this time to see if the chipped gear has been previously replaced, or is still there waiting to get worse, gear in the PTO drivetrain, maybe???
