Washer with green paint, part of a spring, gear tooth chip (probably caused by cutting up spring), mild steel "snap ring", pea-sized rock!

I used to have an IH 3444 Tractor/loader/backhoe. It was a great little machine. In dry, hard going, it would push a lot. I recall it developing a "tick", which really was accentuated when pushing. We finally took it apart, and found part of a tooth off a bull gear. (I'm so grateful the little pinion gear was much harder than the bull gear!) Down in the bottom, was the rest of the tooth. It had a perfect imprint of a 3/8" lock washer! You know the kind that had the little serration marks all around?!

How, or why that lock washer was in there, we'll never know. Whatever happened, happened before we got it. My pushing apparently took off the remainder of the tooth. I'm sure the first part was done before we got it.
