I have pretty serious leak in the pump area and under the seat where the return line comes out of the rockshaft housing. I have a service manual for directions of removal of pump. I would just like to know if there are any tricks of the trade or advise anyone has to help out. Several of you have given suggestions on the leak under the seat. I thought I had that fixed but it seeps fluid, so I'm going to have to look into that a little further also. I see there are "kits" available for the pump and the pipes, who do you suggest getting them from, and part numbers? Any help or experience from you would be appreciated. This our 1st JD, something with hydraulics, so I'm new to all of this.

Pump is on the front of the engine. Your TOM valve body is under the seat. If it's leaking where the return comes out the rubber seal is bad, the line end is cracked or the housing is cracked. The seal is available from Deere for less than $10. Sharps has the line if needed.

You can download the parts book PDF free from jdparts.com.

not that hard to remove front pump, I think it is easier to remove radiator first though to give you room to work, mainly to get lines loose

Took return line off and tried to find a local hyd shop with hose that size, but of was too big. That's when I found out seal is rawhide. So thanks, I have a friend that said these were available at JD

Just wondering if something inside rockshaft would have caused pump to start leaking. Do you know where the right and left control levers should be when not using 3 pt?

Sorry but I misssed the two leaks part. Your friend is wrong. Some earlier Dubuques had stacks of cork on one line and the rest were rubber. Your's doesn't. The rear line seal is rubber and the part# is M3246T. I would get three and replace them all while you're at it. The different one at the pump (listed as sleeve) is M3189T. Everything is available from Deere.
