Is something wrong here

Looking at a tractor for sale that is advertised having a remanufactured engine. Ran a serial number of the tractor on auction time and found the tractor for sale a year ago by different outfit. Not listed there as having a remanufactured engine but the engine serial number matches the the serial number of the supposed remanufactured engine. Shouldn't they be different. Plus advertised as 1992 tractor serial number shows it should be a 1990. What's going on here?

It sounds to me like the seller is being dishonest. That said, if I'm ever having to question the purchase I never go through with it. I feel its better to wait for the next opportunity than risk getting ripped off
