LI Bearings again

I posted a couple of days ago looking for cross reference for JD AL20111T bearings.

Bob posted, but it looks like that might be too big of bearing.

The cross reference is listed in the LA/LI manual, could someone look that up?

Thanks.

The upper cup is L 4584 T. Lower is L 4077 T at IL51163 and below. IL51164 is L4583T. Can't help with a cross.

Look on .pdf page 43, original paper page 42.

Up thru serial number IL51163 they used ball bearings, then went to roller bearings. Looks like older models could be converted with kit # AL20112T

Upper and lower cones are identical, the AL20111T part number you have is for the cones.

Cup for upper roller bearing is L4584T, lower is L4583T.

Unfortunately, I don't see an interchange for those anywhere, including Duane Larson's chart.

Is that steering gear a "ROSS", mite be similar to a car steering gear of the era?

I read last post wrong, yes I do want the cone, which is AL20111T.

The operators manual has a cross reference in it, those are the numbers I need.

Checked an old Deer cross reference from 1988 and it isn't listed. You might find it by using the number off of the steering box and Google. If it's a Ross it's used on old Jeeps and they are reproducing them now.
