530 clutch replacement

I'm in the process of replacing pulley clutch facings as well as sliding drive disk, facing disk and fixed drive disk on a 530. Is there a special puller for removing the fixed disk w/o removing the entire right wheel? If I do need to remove the wheel how is it done? I have a manual that tells how to move the wheel out but not remove it. Looking for the best way to perform the rebuild. Suggestions are welcome and needed. Thanks!

My manual sez to use jack screws OR a puller. I've had good luck (so far!) using jack screws. Use new good grade bolts with enough threads reach from the surface behind the driver out to past the outside of the disc. Screw them in until they "bottom" then turn them in one flat at a time alternating. As pressure builds rap the end of the crankshaft with a soft hammer and keep applying loose juice to the splines from both sides. You may need to heat the disc some, but don't go crazy with it. If you want to use a puller, get one where the jack screws will fit into puller. Some harmonic damper pullers for car engines will work, but I don't remember which. Good luck!

Randy, I don't remember having to move the wheel in order to get the drive disk out. If you remove the belt pulley, you might have to move the wheel out to the end of the axle for clearance. I see on here that some folks let the air out of the tire and squeeze it out of the way with a come-a-long or load strap. I hope I understood your question.
