3010 hydraulic knock

Hey guys!

My dad's 3010 gas starts and runs great,
but here lately it's taking probably 30-45
seconds for the 3pt and power steering to
start working. I know this is pretty common
on the 10 and 20 series...but it's now
developed a knock. NOT an engine knock,
sounds like it's the hydraulic pump. Any
thoughts??? Once the power steering and 3pt
start working, they work just fine.

Just looking for ideas on where to start or
what to check.

Are the two discs cracked and are the two bolts on the drive tube that bolts to the pump tight? The disc bolts can be tight and the holes are egged out. Crankshaft bolt tight? Just other things to look at. :)

Throw the discs away and update to the latter coupler that was used on the 20 series. You will need the 4 pins,4 rubber bushings and the two coupler halfs. Much better and much quieter than the metal discs. It has been a few years since I saw a tractor that still has the discs. Tom

I'll tell him to look into it...any chance you know the part numbers of what is required?

I believe he is also changing hydraulic fluid and filter and cleaning the screen.

Thanks!!

Here's a parts list for conversion to newer style pump drive.
