JD 550 tiller

I have an opportunity to buy this unit but have always been leery of used tillers. it looks as though the 3pt is adjustable for width. will this unit attach to my Ferguson TO-35 without having to cut the tillers pto shaft ? the tines do not show much wear. anything I need to know about this model ?

Dad just bought a land pride tiller and the 3 point pins are adjustable on it to . You may have to make adjustments to the pto shaft you won?t know until you hook it up and see

They?re nice little tillers, be sure to check the bottom of the chain case, if they?re run in rocky soil without the skids, the bottom tends to wear through and the oil leaks out. Loosen up the clutch plates and put in the ground to be sure they are free if its been sitting a while.
I?ve had mine about 16 years, only part I ever broke is a skid which was my fault
