What year did John Deere come out with electric
start on the John Deere D?

I believe it was when they styled them, in 1939. I assume someone will correct me, if I'm wrong.

i was just watching the two cylinder clubs John Deere day videos last night and it was in the whats new for 1940 segment that they introduced electric starting for the model A, B, and D series tractors. i suppose the G was later since it didn't get styled till they came out with the GM

early forty's , i know of an original 1944 and its still hand start. so could have been optional.

I think it was an option in 39.
