Does anyone know what windshield wiper motor is used on the flow control valve on a #40 bale thrower?.......Ron

Call me crazy,

but that looks for all the world to be a mid 60s GM wiper motor.
eBay number for single speed is 5045327 but other speeds and perhaps gear boxes can be had under these numbers.

Cardone Remanufactured: 40-119
Cardone Select: 85-119
GM: 4911945, 4916125, 5045257, 5045325, 5045326, 5045327, 5045328, 5045329, 5045331, 5045361, 5045363, 5045425, 5045426, 5045427

If it's just the motor shot then perhaps a transplant of motor part from a new one to the old one would work? Issue is likely only brushes and in the right shop on the right day they would run you maybe 2 dollar each. 65 seems like a lot of money if that's all that is actually wrong there. The 700 dollar range that #1 above subs to (AE54778) illustrates what is wrong with mother deere these days - excessive gouging is just not right.

Good pictures of course would really help nail down what it is and what it isn't unless someone with actual prior knowledge shows up to which I'll yield to in a heartbeat.

Thank-you Lee. My motor is pooched. It is indeed a Delco made in Drayton Ohio. Took one off a NH harvester spout control. They have right and left gearheads. Traded motors, Bobs your uncle. Never priced it at JD but 700$ US is about 1000$ Canadian. Hey as Hank Williams Jr says "A country Boy Can Survive". Thanks again for all the effort to look up all the info......Ron

Looks to me like an older GM power window motor.

If unit has has had mounting kit # AN281232 (appears to be NLA) installed, or is a later series, motor #AA77820 is the replacement motor, at about $90. Mount could probably be adapted or fabricated.

Newer style $90 replacement motor.

Thank-you Bob. That is exactly what the old one looks like. Between Lee and yourself, you guys have it nailed. Much appreciated .......Ron
