Tractor has 3 outlets. The levers on #3 have been installed in the wrong barrels some time ago. There is a left and right lever for #3, unlike #1 and #2. Can I remove the welch plug and just swap the levers or is more disassembly required? Thank you.

Yes to remove the coupler lock levers is just remove the plug. The you can get the snap ring off the top of the lever.

there is a small catch to doing that. Under the snap ring mentioned is a spring, it is a job that requires 3 hands with room for 1 finger. I did a number of them back when I worked for a dealership here. I think some guys have mentioned a tool that helps

Save yourself some aggravation before starting, and pick up a couple of 30H15 "expansion plugs" at the dealership, about $0.75 each. (Or 1-1/8" plugs from an auto parts store.)

Then, puncture wound punch or drill a small hole in each plug offcenter, nearer to the outside edge in the old plugs, and pop 'em out with an autobody dentpuller that uses a sharp screw to thread in, or screw a sheetmetal screw in a few threads deep and yank plug out with a clawhamer or crowfoot bar.
