one last jd40 question

my new wiring harness came with 3 wires to the rear lighting, tail light, work light and auxiliary light, what is the auxiliary
light for?

The warning lamps for the tractor and implement would probably be temporarily connected to the auxiliary light socket.

There should be a plug in receptical that mounts beside the rear light
It is used to plug in a cord that extends back to your implement behind the tractor
On the other end of the cord was an amber safety light that mounted in a tapered receiver like the safety signs fit into
These lights are very hard to find now a days
I believe Steiner sells the recepticals as a repro and are real good quality
