3020 diesel crankshaft

spun number 2 and 3 rod bearings on my 3020 diesel. have not miched it yet to see how bad it is. how far can i get away turning it? looking on the net they are pretty pricey

Check to see what undersize bearings are available at the machine shop. Make sure the machine shop can do a diesel crank with the correct radius.

I would not go more than .010 on a 3020. Light use tractor maybe .020 but I would never consider .030. 3020's have a habit of breaking crankshafts and as hard as 3020 engine parts are to find I would buy another crank. Do not forget to take a good look at the balencer assembly as well. Every 3020 I overhaul gets new shafts and bushings in the balencer. Tom

I never go more than 20...and new cranks are available, last one I got was around $800 new
