2510 - 1020 parts compatibility

Im looking at a 2510 gasser thats being parted out, its about a two hour drive away, and I am wondering about the compatibility/interchangeability of certain parts for my 1020 gasser. Specifically,

Front weight bracket
Telescoping 3pt lift arms
Foot throttle

Thanks in advance, I have to say I am really enjoying working with the 1020, its a well-built machine and is really helping out here on the small farm. Someday I would like something bigger, but its a definite upgrade from my little 26hp kubota.

Stack weights are the same but not base weight.
You are trying to use row crop parts on utility tractor.
Apples and oranges!

With a little cutting and welding and some bushings you can get the lift arms to work. I did that for my 1020 and love the telescoping feature. But others are right there are not too many parts that will interchange.

The Deere parts book has or had a section where a part number could be checked for being common to other models .
That 2510 chassis will have the components required for a bolt in swap of a 300 Series Dubuque engine into a 3020.

If 2510 & 3020 didn't share the same clutch housing IE different casting #s for Syncro-range trans. then how could parts catalog show a "bolt in swap" for 300 series engine???????????? Also flywheel housing for 2510 is NLA from JD.

The 2510/2520 use Dubuque front mounts and a belhousing for the starter being on the right side .
A donor 2510/2520 and a 300 series four cylinder can make a 2510/2510 out of a 3020 with a failed Waterloo dour cylinder.

As I previously stated the clutch(bell) housings on 2510 & 3020 will not interchange because these parts have different casting(part) numbers. Are you 100% positive the flywheel housing for a 300 series engine will bolt up to a 3020 clutch housing? I think it will not bolt up because if it would 2510 bell housing would be same as 3020 which it's not.

The 3020 belhousing is not compatable with the Dubuque engine . Hence the need to use the salvage 2510 belhousing in a Dubuque powered 3020.

Well how do you explain that part# for 2510 SR trans case & gasket between clutch housing & trans case are not the same part #s as 3020 SR trans case & gasket. That makes me believe the parts won't interchange as you state.

Deere changed lots of part numbers on a 530 even though they were identical to 520 parts .

I thought you were referring to a 2510 & 3020 not a 2 cylinder tractor. It's obvious that you've stated something you can't back up with facts so I guess your ""normal smoke screen"" will billow similar to Chech & Chong.

Please list a few of the parts for 520 & 530 tractors that are the same parts with different part numbers,
Thanks,Jim

Final drive gears, axles for a few examples.

Really from my JD dealer parts dept experience it appears the parts you mentioned for 520 & 530 tractors have the same part numbers for final drive gears & axles.

Alright I did have a senior’s moment . was thinking the 50 vs the 520/530 and the parts were not identical as the 520/530 is geared slower on the finals. .

BUT as I stated earlier what does JD 2 cylinder parts have anything to do with parts on 2510 & 3020 parts that you stated will interchange BUT yet you've still provided not PROOF??
Have a nice day,Jim
