I need the metering screw and spring for the bottom of the bowl on a 40 JD carb. Mine fell out somehow.

There isn't one in the bottom of the bowl. It's a 1/8 petcock. For other parts and diagrams go to robertscarb. (J&G Regonal Services)

Mine has a metering screw. I am not making it up. Right back of that petcock. Tractor has been in family 50 years.

My apologies. Right behind the petcock is the nozzle and load screw. You need the load screw and packing cone. No spring. If yours had one someone put an idle jet in there.

I don't know Roberts. I thought this would be simple, I called it a metering screw but out of ignorance. How do I get in touch with them?

Note the main adjusting needle assembly (Key 33).
