Rusty AC line 2755 SGB

I have a slow leak in my AC on the 2755. The system has dye in it and the leak showed up on the low pressure line under the cab, under the black pipe insulation. Is that common? Is that line hard to replace?

Yes I've seen several JD tractors that the line with "black insulation" got a hole rusted in it.

Yes, that is a common problem on SGBs. Replace both pipes going up the corner post while you are at it as they are close to rusting through also. The insulation is meant to keep condensation from rusting the pipe but once the moisture finds a way in it can't dry out and the rust starts.

Spray cold galvanize paint on them and then coat with Cosmoline and spray it again.
