Looking for instructions / tips is replacing the fan belt. This looks pretty involved. My service manual does not cover this. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

Changing the fan belt really isn't all that bad of a job. The belt tensioner is on the alternator. You have to thread the belt over the radiator fan
one blade at a time. The fan does not have to be removed. It's a good idea to check you water pump bearing while doing this. See if there's a
lot of loose side to side motion. Many times the bearing on the water pump goes bad and destroys the seal. The weep holes are notorious for
getting stopped up and not allowing antifreeze to weep like it's supposed to which indicates that the seal is bad. You just don't want the bearing
to fail and send the fan through the radiator. The bolts for the hydraulic coupling are threaded into the aluminum coupling. Taking the nuts off
won't allow the bolt to be removed. After you remove the nut you have to unscrew the bolt out of the coupling. The nut is just a lock nut. Hope
this helps.

Thanks for the tips! I was having a hard time trying to figure out how to remove the belt from around the shaft. It seemed it went straight through into the pump and all that had to be removed as well as the radiator. As Carl would say. Mmmmm.....
