Electronic ignition

I want put electronic ignition on a 3010. Looks like it is easy
enough to find the Pertronix kit and flame thrower coil. What
type of wires do I need? Anything else? Paul

Graphite core wires are required to help create a higher voltage spark and also to eliminate radio noise that can damage the module. Have seen a couple fail with metallic wires. 3 ohm flamethrower coil and eliminate the resistance wire by running a new wire or if it has the resistor on the switch, solder a jumper wire over the resistor. You'll be happy with it.

Thanks a bunch for the comments. I was looking for the parts on YTmag here and found the electronic points and wires easily enough. I see there are a bunch of coil choices. I was wondering if there was one I didn't need to mess with the stock 3 ohm resistor. Perhaps tomorrow I will call Pertronix. Paul

Not to step on toes but I always use a 3 ohm coil(true 12v) and keep the booster wire from the "R" terminal of starter solenoid to coil w/ copper core plug/coil wire.
