Deere 530 power steering pump rebuild

Hello, I?m rebuilding my power steering pump and I can fit a .009? feeler gauge between the gear and centerplate, is this an acceptable amount of wear? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't a have a number for you, but 0.009" seems like quite a bit. But, unless yo have a better plate, I'd put it together and give it a chance... you will know for sure once the oil is warmed up, if it steers at idle!

It was working ok but definitely was harder/slower to steer at an idle. The seals were leaking and the front bearing was shot.
