1960 john deere 830 running on one cylinder

So recently pulled the family's john deere 830 out of the barn for the first time in 15 years. We pull started it after we checked the oil and what do you know it ran like it was new. 2 days ago we drove it down to the local tractor show and the tractor didnt miss a beat. Today just putting around it dropped a cylinder when running mid to high throttle. At idle and just above it still runs perfectly. What do you all think? Is one of the injectors bad/plugged? (this is what I think the problem is) Should I try and work it tommorow on a fan? I put some additives in it so hopefully that helps.

Check the fuel supply gallery pressure, when it gets low or drops lower than it should be, the left, flywheel cylinder will miss because it's not getting the fuel it needs. Over time the gear pump end cover can wear, causing excess gear end clearance, and supply pressure drops. At light loads, idle speed engine will sound fine. When an injector gives trouble, it will be at ALL speeds and loads..

Also it may have cracked an injector line. My cousin had a 720 do that and it still would run.
After the valve cover is off you can usually spot the leak while running. CAUTION ! do not feel around for a leak as it can inject into your skin and cause serious problems for you.

What would the gear pump going out feel like or sound like? This was a slow fade over about 30 seconds.

Thanks for the warning about the Injector line

You might take the valve cover off and look over the tappets, etc. Acquired an 820 and had a strange sounding miss. Looked over the air cleaner, etc., took the valve cover off and when tipping it down heard a slight clunk and looked in the cover and there laid a broken valve tappet adjusting nut. Got a replacement, put it in, set the valve clearance and everything was fine. Just something to think about.
