How well would my 51 B handle a 8' offset tandem disc? I dug up many tree stumps and the ground is fairly level, loose and soil is somewhat sandy. Looking at one on CL but don't know model #. Thoughts??? Thanks!

WAY TOO much disk for a B. An offset disk cuts much deeper than a normal tandem disk, heavier too. An 8 ft tandem disk is too much for a B, A 6-7 ft is plenty.

Not sure about the off set type ? Is it adjustable for how much Vee it has ? If so you should be able to make it not so aggressive. It would have to be that wide to cover the wheel tracks. I pulled one with my model 50. It was just a "normal" disk, drag type ? Had to let the drawbar swing as designed to make it steer easy. A good running late B with some weights can really surprise people with how much they can drag around !
