Wanted: Recutter screen for JD 35, 38, or 3800 forage harvester or advice on using one.

There were a good many different size screens to be had. What are you chopping that you want that fine a cut? They will make your chopper pull much harder. I might have some here as we owned several 35 and 38 harvesters before going to a 3940. Every time you sharpen the knives you need to readjust the screen to the knives. Tom

If your knives are kept sharp and adjusted close you won't need a screen.
Of course the shear bar needs to be kept in good shape also.
Slots in those screens got rounded off where they were even more inefficient
than when new.
