450 crawler loader

Bought this crawler in 1993 and have had very little problems until now. It seems to have no power. I changes all the filter again even though they were changed at the beginning of this season. There seems to be plenty of fuel going to the injector pump and the turbo is working. I also blow out the return line that goes back to the tank. It just seems lazy and not getting enough fuel. It has a Stanadyne injector pump, is there anything I should be looking at?

The fitting at the injection pump return port has a check ball in it that clogs,,check that,,go ahead and remove the ball and spring to see if that helps..if it does schedule a pump rebuild in the near future..

Place a can under the injection pump to catch the fuel, loosen the two screw side timing cover so fuel can leak out. If the engine responds fine with the fuel leak, but gets lazy and/or dies with the cover tight, pump needs serviced. This saves a good return valve that can be cleaned without destroying it, and having to buy a new one later.

Gotta agree with Tim. My bet is there is crap in that little check ball on the inlet. No worries if it's not. Easy to check. Used to see a lot of that when I worked on them at the Deere dealer. Good Luck!
