At the front of the fan drive, just before the fan is a bearing housing with a pipe plug on top. Is there oil that should be topped off or checked?

Yes oil or sometimes people put grease in there.

No.

Take a look at the information below.

Note that the operator's manual recommends high-temperature grease.

You might consider replacing the pipe plug with a grease fitting.

Take a look at the photos below of the front fan bearing grease fittings on our Model A tractors.
