Will some parts from a 70 diesel work on a 720 especially the pony motor?

The pony motor will swap, the only difference is the starter for the pony. Ya know what there's linkage differences but I'd have to dig to find it.

I think the hood is.
The engine...very iffy, lots of changes and updates with the 70s and 720s.
The hydraulics, no, except maybe the pump
Transmission, probably not
It all depends on what you want, it's a mixed bag, also depends if its early or late 720
