On a 39 B the valve cover has a v channel that is fed oil by an external oil line from the governor. There are 4 holes in the v channel on
one I have, but on the later models that is feed by a line to oil rockers they only oil the exhaust. So did somebody drill holes in the v
channel in the 39 to oil intakes? I have read a lot about not drilling holes to lube intake because it will suck oil and smoke. Was there a
reason that intakes were lubed in 39 and are not know?
