G Radiator hose

Had to have some work done on my G fuel tank and discovered the upper radiator hose looking like this. I can get a hose from Deere but it?s 36 inches long and they want a hundred dollars for it. Steiner shows hoses for an A but not G. Are there any other sources? Also, how difficult to get a new hose on without removing any of the pipes? The former owner of this tractor owned it for 55 years. Might even be the original hose. Doesn?t even have clamps on it.

I can buy most sizes of hose by the inch at my local NAPA. Not cheap, but a heck of a lot less than $100 for the four inches or so you need.

I needed 2 1/4 inch (I.D.) straight hose for JD Model B. Found Dayco 76225 at Summit Racing at a cost of $34.99 for a 3 ft. piece. The order was promptly received and the hose is excellent quality. I don't recall how I determined which Dayco product I needed. I just now Googled Dayco 76225 and some other sites came up selling it for less (like www.carid.com 25.73/ 3 ft).

You might consider contacting a local shop that repairs large trucks.

I have bought various sizes and lengths cut to fit for a few of our tractors.

Both the upper and lower hoses are 3-1/2" I.D. Like Joe said, NAPA will probably cut the lengths you need.

Many times that portion of the pipes under the hose are badly rusted and need to be cut off. So don't cut the new hoses until you remove the old ones and inspect the ends of the pipes.
