4430 Cab (Accessory) Relay

Has anyone else had trouble with the terminals coming loose on the new JD cab relays (part number AH98337)? Replaced mine last summer and last night the blower and radio quit. Checked terminals on the relay with a test light and with the switch on had power to all but one. When I touched the wire from the terminal that had no power to one of the others everything worked as it should. The terminal with no power to it was pretty loose and after checking a couple of the other ones were loose too. Got a new relay today and it too has a loose terminal. Just wondered if anyone else has had problems with this and if maybe you have found a better replacement? Thanks.

Oh and I checked the wires hooked to the relay and none of them were pulled tight like they had put pressure on the terminal to make it come loose.

If you're talking about the little square plastic relay I have never run across or heard of that problem.

You couldn't get that particular relay last summer. Was subbed by the little plastic one several years ago.
How have you been getting along TJ?

Do you know what the part number is of the little plastic relay you keep talking about? The relay TxJim posted the picture of is currently available and has been for a number of years now. I have two of them sitting on my parts counter as we speak.

AR74411 is the relay and used with AR84430 socket/harness if it hasn't already been installed.
This relay is virtually trouble free.
If you have the older ones it's best to throw them away.

Do you have a diagram that shows how to wire that relay up from the old one? I can see that might be a better relay, and much cheaper once you buy the plug, but I can't find any info on wiring it from the AH98337 relay.

Kimball Midwest 9an out fit that supplys shop supplys) offers a nice plug with an 8" pig tail that plugs onto those relays Part # 23804,, i use them a lot, and I have the wiring diagram for the plug, which you can match up to the tractor,

I have a 4240 with the same relay problem. After replacing the old relay, for radio and A/C, with new plastic one from JD radio and A/C work great. Problem was they worked all the time, key on or off. Put the old part back on with new ends on wires. Old relay works well unless A/C is on high then CB trips. I think I may need new CB?
