Im sure this is not hard; but someone of you have experience on "fine tunning" the carb settings on the two-cylinder tractors.....which screw or screws do I adjust and how many turns? Thanks.

May be wrong, but may be a starting point given in the operator's manual; i.e., turn clear in, turn back out 4 turns, etc. They are marked "load" and "idle". Once running, you can adjust them according to the manual. They will run a little out of adjustment, just not the best. I have an AR that I do a little pulling with that is set a little rich but starts good and pull good. If I was farming with it sure would lean it down a little.

If your carburetor is clean and in good condition, adjust the left (outside) needle 1.5 turns open. Adjust the inside (load) needle open about 1.25 turns. This will get it to start and run, then fine tune it after it is warmed up. To properly adjust the load needle, (after warm up) Place the shifter in 6th gear, throttle up, engage the clutch smoothly with some force so as to load the engine. If it miss fires, open the load needle two clicks. Repeat until the engine accelerates smoothly under load and does not misfire. We nave a B, two A's and a G. All run perfectly using this method. To adjust the idle needle,(with shifter in neutral, clutch engaged) run the engine up to operating speed and adjust the needle in or out to achieve a smooth speed. Adjust it one or two clicks at a time. Give it a minute to normalize before changing the setting.

Start with the Idle screw turned out 1 1/2 turns and the Load screw turned out 1 turn. After the engine warms up set the throttle at fast idle and adjust the Idle screw one click at a time until the engine runs smoothly. With a load on the engine adjust the Load screw down until the engine loses power or backfires. Then open the Load screw one click at a time until the engine runs smoothly.

my e-mail is open. Mail me and I will send you a copy of the "correct" way to set them...which will also self diagnose what, if any, issues it has that may need addressed.
