JD....A...rear tire.

Went out today to shop and my "A" was sitting on the floor on LH rear tire; never had a flat til now. So jacked it up and took off
row of nuts/lugs on inside; now how does it come off the center ? Is there a trick or do I have to pull the center off the axle?

Slip the rim to the inside a little and rotate the center as needed. You can finagle it around some and find a spot where you can slip it off. Get a helper or two and watch your toes.

Very timely information as I just put my '50 B up on jack stands. My "tire" guy will remove the tires and I'll prep and paint the rims and centres before adding the new "shoes".
Great forum! Thanks to all. I'm constantly learning as I check in at least daily.

Ok - will do- I was hoping for this answer as it is my first. Tire is going to tire shop after I find another rim.....rusted out where valve stem is...thanks guys.

You have to twist the rim on the center between the high spots on the center. Probably put the two holding lugs at the top, should slip right off. Ron MN
