1964 JD 4020 diesel injector installation question

My 1964 JD 4020 has the older big style injectors. I had to replace one with a remanufactured one from a reputable diesel injection service provider. There is a copper washer (JD part # R463R) that goes between the injector and cylinder head. One side of the washer appears slightly different than the other side. (one side completely flat, other side slightly different) When the injector returned from the service provider it had the completely flat side to against the cylinder head and the other side against the injector. That is how I installed it. Did I install it correctly? Do I need to remove it and turn the washer around so the flat side is against the injector? Or, it does not make any difference on how this washer is to be installed? I have not started the tractor since this installation. I'm trying to describe the copper washer appearance the best I can. If I call correctly I've previously installed the washer with the flat side against the injector and other side against he cylinder head. Any assistance is always appreciated.

I don't think it makes a difference but I usually
install them with the flat side against the injector.

It doen't make any difference,,but in the future make sure the seat is clean down in the head, a lot of times residue flakes of and lays in the seat.
