JD 420 Service Manuals

Which service manuals do you recommend buying for a 1958 JD 420 5 speed with power steering and live PTO? I have already purchased the genuine JD 420/430 service manual (ouch-pricey from local dealer) and the I&T manual for the tractor series. To my surprise, there are a few areas in the genuine JD service manual that it says to reference the JD 40 service manual for instructions/procedures. I wasn't expecting that.

I bought the 420 service manual and then later went back and bought the 40 service manual because the 420 manual refers back to the 40 manual in quite a few places.

I also have the I&T manual for the 420, but it's been so long since I've opened it that I'm not sure where it is.

Manual for Model 40 is SM2013

Manual for Model 420 is SM2019

You can order them from Deere and get CD (much cheaper)
