1950 A fenders........

I am a bit confused; I'm looking for 2 good used fenders for my "A" with round housings- however I have been told two different things. Some say the "flat top" fenders came on these tractors and others say the "clam shell fenders" came out original...... someone educate me please. Thanks.

Flat tops came out on the 20 series.. Clamshell and the round top one's were original for the A's.

The round top was made to fit round axle tractor. Clamshells could be retrofit if you can find those adapter brackets. Same for "B" Good , solid round tops will be harder to find than clams but round tops are original and better looking on a round axle tractor in my opinion.

The change over from round top to clam shell was at serial # 650763-650764 during the 1950 model year.

Yes, either one would be okay. If you're a nit picking purist, go by your serial # compared to the ones I gave earlier.
