JD M front wheel spindles

I trying to figure out why my M steers very hard. I greased the spindle (via the grease fitting) and I have removed the front tires and disconnected the tie rods from the steering arm on top of the spindle. In this state, how easy would it be to grab the knuckle and steering arm with my hands and try to rotate the spindle? Should it move freely with little to no effort due to the greased needle bearing or would there be resistance? In this way, mine takes some effort to get the spindle to move.

I have already replaced the tie rods and installed a new pin on the worm gear with the proper resistance from the set screw. I am thinking maybe the problem is with the needle bearings causing the spindles to bind. Who carries the needle bearings? Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Wheel should flop back and forth very easily.

More than likely just old hard grease keeping the new grease from getting where it needs to be. I would pull the spindle and clean everything. If the needle bearings are worn you'll see marks on the spindle or lots of play while wiggiling it back and forth. Bearings are available from Deere and possibly this site if needed.
