John Deere 2630 Shifter

Reviving an old 2630, the left-hand range shifter between legs (I, II, & R) is sloppy. I see they added the parking kit, which my tractor has however I found it has the top part of the parking lock kit, but not the correct snap rings. It has the old bushing and snap ring rather than the new style with shims. I have ordered the correct kit, however see the attached photo. It looks like the bottom part where the shifter sits has been cracked in 2 places. I hope this won't be a problem, thoughts?

Best bet to put a new cover on. Looks really slopped out. Save yourself a lot of grief! Good Luck!
