This was Sunday's "Extra" pic. I was hoping someone would have commented on the make/brand of tractor, but maybe there isn't enough to know?

It "appears" to be JD green and, I would assume it is one of the early letter models (A, B, G, H, M), but not knowledgeable on them. Can anyone offer any ideas?

By the way, am pretty sure the photo was taken across the big pond -- maybe even in Russia? Don't know if any other countries copied the earlier JD tractors or not.

Not much to go on that nose tin sure looks like the right vintage. Did you get a chance to see the drive train?
 
Front end took styling cues from Deere, but it is not. Attached is a front end shot of a B, you can see that it is similar, but clearly different. The high clear drop front axle looks interesting.

As near as I can tell, the axle is from a Belarus MTZ-80, which was made in 2wd and 4wd. The grill, however, seems to be MTS-50. In any case, close enough! *lol*
