Mt pump update

A while back a posted about my Mt hydraulic
pump leaking through the input shaft seal,
I installed a speedi-sleeve as was
suggested and that went smooth. However
after I finished assembly and added some
oil it is easy to see it is leaking from
the plug that covers the other gear. I
didn't take that apart this time and I'm
pretty sure I used some sealeant when I
installed it the last time I had it apart.
Is there any product I can use from the
outside to help with leak? If not I may
have to live with it until fall, need the
tractor for the #5 mower and don't have
much time to rebuild it again right now.
Thanks
John

If you are running 10 or 20 wt. straight oil in the engine and in the TouchOMatic system I would run it and just keep an eye on your crankcase level. If you run hydraulic oil I would consider fixing it before doing too much work.

I always loved running my MT with the N0. 5 mower. They seemed like a great pair in 2nd gear in grass.

Thanks for the reply, I started using engine oil for the touch a match as soon as I knew it was leaking, so I'm ok there. I ended up filling the void with hard setting permatex, time will tell if it helps. I really enjoy running the mower when I'm not fixing it!
Thanks
John
