Marvel Schebler TSX45 Adjustment

I recently purchased a John Deere L with the NXB motor. I just received the rebuilt carb I ordered through Yesterday Tractor. After careful reinstall I cannot get tractor to idle without cutting out as if no gas. I have tried the idle adjustment screws to no avail. I also drove it yesterday up our steep drive and rather than governor taking over for power tractor barely made it to the top sputtering. I removed the inlet that came with the rebuild to see if it was clogged. All clean. Any ideas or experiences please share them with me. Regards EH

Check and make sure you have the linkage hook up correctly and that maybe the throttle butterfly is not in the carb wrong so it does not open like it should when it should. If it is a rebuilt one it can happen people do make mistakes if new it too could have ben put in wrong when made. As for idea you have the linkage adjustment which if set to slow will cause or the one on the carb it is in for rich and out for lean

Throttle butterfly installed correct. Will continue to fiddle with idle adjustments. Thanks for the reply.

Would the fuel inlet coupler to the carb matter whether it is straight or at a right angle. Tried again yesterday late and carb was spitting gas out of the bowl weep hole.
