Hi All...

Went to look at a '75 JD 2630, looks like a solid tractor except for a few issues. One of which is the broken drawbar attachment bracket. All 4 bolt holes are broken out of the casting... Seems like welding would be tricky. Anyone ever seen that happen before?

THe pics ended up inverted somehow, but thats under the axle/transmission housing...

Guess the pics didnt load...

I agree David G, and the reddish/orange paint on the block, the industrial yellow on the frame, and the mismatched serial numbers aren't good signs either.
Still, it fires right up, runs smooth, goes into all gears (park seems a little tough), oil and hydraulic fluid look good. Definitely a powerhouse. $5250 is the negotiated price.

The Facts are that there are more things coming to and end on that model than just the transmission case...transmission pump,,Hi/Low components..PTO clutch pack,,and of course the engine balancer shafts.all these things are exspensive..do your self a favor and shop on...

Yeah, I'm passing on that tractor. Kind of a shame, its exactly the power I'm looking for, but the last thing I need is a 9ft mo-co breaking loose while cutting.
I briefly considered fabricating a bracket that hangs off the axles, but thats a lot of work for the over $5 grand I'd be paying out, and then I'd always be worried about my craftsmanship failing at the wrong time.
Thanks for the advice everyone. The search for some HP goes on.
