6105D engine oil pressure sensor

The low oil pressure light came on my JD 6105D at approx. 500 hours. The oil level is fine, the engine runs fine. At the beginning the light was on intermittently. Now (at 680 hours), after I run the engine for approx. 5 minutes, the light is on all the time.

I am trying to identify the engine oil pressure sensor. On the left side of the engine (looking from the driver's seat) I see two sensors on the proximity of (what I think it is) the oil pump. Can you please help me identify the two sensors in the pictures attached?

Thank you,
Paul

Sensor 1 is suction control valve for the injection pump, not sure what sensor 2 is at the moment. The oil pump is inside the engine/oil pan. Are you getting a code for low oil pressure? Appears that model of jd's only have a switch to turn on the light from looking at the wiring diagram. No sensor/gauge. If you need more info, going to need serial number. As there is few choices of models/engines to at in jd's service advisor.

Thank you for your reply!

I am getting the "Engine Information Indicator" light on the instrument panel. The manual says: "Illuminates when engine malfunction occurs (check oil level and review error message in
Information Display). If necessary, have John Deere dealer diagnose vehicle." I am not sure what they mean by "review error message in information display" since I do not see any other
information or I do not know where to look for it.

I looked in both the Diagnostic Technical Manual and the Repair Technical Manual and did not find what could cause the Engine Information Indicator light to come on.

The product identification number of my tractor is IP06105DTE0060328.

Thank you,
Paul

Jim:

Thank you - I looked on the LH of the engine block and I only saw the two sensors in the photos I posted.

I do not know which one is the engine oil pressure sensor; it is one of the two I have in the photos, or is it another one that I missed.

I will take more photos tomorrow.

Thank you,
Paul

Sorry but my knowledge of newer tractors built since the mid 90's is very limited. I suggest you contact dealer or invest in a JD tech manual for your model tractor.

Jim, I have all the manuals I could get from Deere: the Repair Technical Manual, the Diagnostic Technical Manual, and the Operator Manual.
