6200 Blower Motor Cuts Out

It's finally feeling like summer and it seems like the blower motor on our 6200 for the A/C slows down and cuts out after a little while of use, maybe half an hour. If you shut off the fan, then turn it back on, it comes back on, but again slows down. I haven't dug into the issue yet but just curious if anyone else has had this before? Is it a blockage or motor is on it's last leg? It has all new filters with less than 20 hours on them and I cleaned all duct work I could get to at that time and found no blockages by the filters. This has the filters on the back of the cab.

My vote is last legs issue. If a 30 amp meter could be easily rigged up to monitor the current draw you might see it at 20 amps which is about twice what a new one will draw. A lot of times people change out burnt blower motor resistor packs in autos never giving a thought to how a motor will overdraw in it's last days and ruinate the resistor pack first. Changing the resistor pack alone just ensures you then get to buy yet another one and then a motor to fix it right the 2nd or 3rd time around.

Or at any time, you can say thank you for your service Mr. Motor and just replace them as they do have a service life.

Could also be a circuit breaker issue where the circuit breaker has marginal connections and heat is being generated there causing the breaker to trip. Always best to investigate this issue too. Fixing the wrong issue can get expensive.

I was suspect of it last year once we had the A/C fixed. The A/C needed a new dryer and had some leaks. Had Deere fix that and worked good, for a bit, but start showing the issue with the blower. Winter time did not seem to be nearly as big of an issue and it seems to put out more heat than cool easily. Going to see what that blower motor is drawing. Thanks.

There's TWO unitized motor/fan/housing units down there, they DO wear out, ONE may have failed, reducing airflow, pretty common wear items.

Dealer I'm set up with on jdparts.com shows FOURTEEN in stock @ close to $200!

My Dealer has them also and I think they said $197 and change. My local dealer told me to contact AP Air. They make units with heavy duty bearings and increased air flow for about the same price as OEM from Deere. They said they have installed quite a few and the fit was good and it was a noticeable performance increase. I am going to check those out as well.
