3020 diesel electrical question - small fire in console

Well, I was mowing this morning and happened to look down at the dash - small amount of smoke was coming from the ignition switch. It's a keyed switch the previous owner installed. I Shut it down and tried to turn the key off, started on fire. Luckily I had a water bottle in the cab, so I put it out. After opening up the dash, all that happened was one of the connectors burned off the switch and about a half inch of insulation was burned off the wires. I re connected the wires to the OEM pushbutton switch and tried it. Sizzling sound came from the starter area but no evidence of burning. I let it sit a bit and tried it again - nothing. I think it might be the solenoid. My question is, how do you reset the two little circuit breakers at the starter (if they may have been affected)? Possibly they might be the cause? All the wiring is in tact, no shorting. Am I on the right track? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Correct, 24 V. I have a feeling the last time I
started it while I was working, the starter did not
disengage and burned out the solenoid. I?ve had
that happen in one of my cars before. Hopefully
that?s all it is.

Replaced the starter - all good again. I?ll tear down
the bad one and see what got destroyed. Thanks
everyone for the input.
