730G and LA sold today

Well, I saved some money today. The longtimeneighbor who passed away had his sale this weekend (tomorrow too...).
His 730 gas was a RC w/roll-a-matic, 16.9x34 standard wheels, and fenders. It had the rockshaft, but no arms. That's it. No 3pt, no dual hyd or weights. It did have good working P/S, but needed manifold gaskets and front tires. Rears were decent but the long bar/short bar design I don't like on a tractor that age. Ran good though. I had the bid for several minutes at $2200.00, and was just about ready to have my 4h 730, when someone decided that that was too low for a 730 to sell. It ended up bringing $2800.00.
I was really only interested in it because it was sold by the local dealer and had never left the county. I think the neighbor was the second owner. He used it as is planter tractor for a LOT of years, pulling a 6 row 7000 planter. He had a 38 sickle mower for it too.
The LA ran well and looked like an older repaint. It sold for $1750.00. It had one new rear tire and the other one was 90%.
The guy that bought the LA drove it away with a smile on his face. I did buy the F145 4-14 semi-mounted plow with a black JD cast cylinder for $150.00. His BW disc was in nice shape with cone blades and brought $800.00.
Sorry, I was too distracted to take pics... If it's still there tomorrow, I'll snap a pic of the 730.

Forgot to mention, I also bought a nice 530, 630, 730 advert (the one with the 630 on the cover pulling the 30 combine), for $20.00. :D

Yeppers. Last stuff sells today. Collectible toys. Coins. Household stuff. My dad's buggies and some stuff that my grandpa left in the farmhouse that got moved out during the remodeling. Pedal sewing machine, Nehi glass 5 gallon bottle. Weird stuff.

Well, the 730 was still there today, so I snapped some pics.
Let's see if they work right.

(quoted from post at 17:02:29 05/21/18) 2800 is awfully cheap for a 730! It doesn't look to be
in terrible shape

I agree. But I had a budget and wouldn't go over. It's not good news for the 3 730's I already have. Thus also the reason I didn't go higher. I'm sure if it had a 3pt or WF it would have brought more. Luckily, my 730's all do. But two are LP's and people seem skittish about them. The best reason for the LP is the gas doesn't go bad. Maybe I should just sell the diesel and keep the LP's...
