Wide front for a John Deere G....what pivot plates will work

Does anybody know what pivot plate castings will work on my 49 G?? I was told that I needed casting # F862R but I found a complete wide front off a 6spd JD A about the same year.....that pivot casting # looks like B2687R....will this bolt up to my tractor? Can I mount this on my G? What is the difference in them? I see people advertise round axle front ends and they say they will fit a B,A,G,50,60 ect....are they all the same?? Thanks in advance, Chic

The F862R casting is the one you want for your G. The B# pivot casting is for a B. The axles are the same. The difference is in those pivot plates. The G one will
line up with your upper G pedistal. The B one is lower and will be under the upper part. It will bolt on, but you will not like the look of it. Good luck, the F
pivots are out there.

Thanks for your response....did those F pivot plates come on anything else besides a G?? What about the 60 or 70 series??

I just took a complete rebuilt wide frontend off my 70 it has the A4963R plate for the HD square tube. Almost ready to sell it.
